
Mixing colors of paint and filling sketchbooks with color schemes has become a meditative part of my studio practice. The inescapable power of color in our daily life can affect our behaviors, moods, thoughts and consumer choices. An interest in integrative health led me to examine the psychological and healing aspects of color. Research shows that color can affect our mood, heart rate, blood pressure and respiration. Reactions to color are often personal, rooted deeply in our own experiences and memories. Color can soothe, agitate, and empower. I hope to evoke an emotional response to color in the viewer
